LESSON FLOW

1. Teach the word  Say the word “priesthood” together. Explain that God gives the priesthood to worthy older boys and men to bless others.

2. Baby blessing  Show the baby blessing picture. Tell the children that babies can receive a name and a blessing.

3. Blessing the sick  Show the picture of a blessing for the sick. Explain that people with the priesthood can give blessings of comfort and healing.

4. Sacrament  Show the sacrament picture and explain that priesthood holders help prepare, bless, and pass the sacrament.

5. Quiet gratitude  Invite the children to fold arms and think of ways Heavenly Father blesses their family.

6. Repeat & close  Say together, “Heavenly Father blesses me through the priesthood.” Be sensitive and warm as you testify of God’s blessings.
