LESSON FLOW
1. Hold up the scriptures Show your scriptures and let the children say “scriptures.”
2. Jesus in the scriptures Show the picture of Jesus blessing children. Explain that the scriptures teach us about Jesus and His love.
3. Obedient people Show Nephi building the ship. Say that Nephi obeyed Heavenly Father and the scriptures tell us his story.
4. Pretend to read Let the children open their hands like a book and look down as if reading.
5. Song Sing “Search, Ponder, and Pray.” Point to your head for ponder and fold arms for pray.
6. Repeat & close Invite the children to hug their scriptures or pretend to hold them carefully. Testify that the scriptures are a blessing.
