LESSON FLOW
1. Blessings Name simple blessings: body, family, food, clothes, animals, and church. Tell the children we can say “thank you” for blessings.
2. Scripture story Show Jesus and the ten lepers. Tell: “Jesus healed ten sick men. Only one came back and said thank you.” Invite the children to say, “Thank you.”
3. Picture actions Point to blessings in the picture and let the children act them out: make a roof, pick fruit, put on shoes, hug family, or pretend to eat.
4. Song Sing “Thanks to Our Father.” Actions: fold arms / arms wide / point to eyes, ears, hands, feet / point to clothes / pretend to eat.
5. Gratitude practice Say: “When someone helps us, what can we say?” Let the children answer, “Thank you.”
6. Repeat & close Have the children say, “I will be thankful.” Share gratitude for Heavenly Father and Jesus.
