“The temple is the house of the Lord.”

“My family can be together forever.”

LESSON FLOW

1. Temple picture  Show the temple picture. Point out the spire, windows, and doors. Have the children say “temple” and make a spire with their hands.

2. Song  Sing “I Love to See the Temple.” Actions: temple spire / walk in place / hand on heart / fold arms.

3. Teach simply  Say: “The temple is Heavenly Father’s house.” Then say: “Because of the temple, families can be together forever.”

4. Family fingers  Use the finger verse: mother, father, brother, sister, baby. End with “Oh, how we love them all.”

5. Love your family  Invite the children to hug themselves and say the names of people in their family.

6. Repeat & close  Have the children say, “My family can be together forever.” Share a simple testimony about the temple.
