LESSON FLOW
1. Picture Show the happy family picture. Say: “Heavenly Father gave each of us a family.” Point to family members and let the children name them.
2. Name family members Say mother, father, brother, sister, and baby. Let the children repeat each word and point to each person in the picture.
3. Role play Let a child pick a family figure. Suggest a loving action such as picking up toys, smiling, sharing, or giving a hug. Have everyone pretend to do it.
4. Song Sing “A Happy Family.” Actions: hand on chest / nod / arms out / hug self. Repeat the words “happy family.”
5. Helpful hands Ask: “How can we help our family?” Let the children pretend to clean up, carry something, or pat the baby gently.
6. Repeat & close Have the children say, “I love my family.” Testify that families are a blessing and we can show love by being kind.
